Indemnity Form for POS Merchants
  1. The POS terminal is the property of the bank. The bank has the right to retrieve and re-assign any terminal from a customer for whatever reason best known to it.
  2. The bank will not be liable if the merchant knowingly uses the terminals for fraudulent transactions or activities.
  3. The merchant cannot transfer ownership or re-assign the terminal to another person or location.
  4. The merchant cannot rent, lease or sell the POS terminal in their custody.
  5. The merchant shall not tamper with the settings on the POS terminal software.
  6. The merchant shall not insert any external drive, download or install any unauthorised application on the POS terminals.
  7. The merchant shall be held liable for physical damage on terminals and components.
  8. The bank charges the merchant the sum of ₦10,000 as insurance fee.
