Green Minds, Greener Future: Empowering Youth for Sustainability and Financial Growth

On July 10, 2025, AG Mortgage Bank PLC, in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), hosted a transformative engagement session under the Green Corper Advocacy Program, as part of our broader Environmental Sustainability Outreach.

The event featured Ngozi Nwaichi, Head of Sustainability at AG Mortgage Bank, who inspired corps members with practical guidance on choosing the right career path, cultivating a healthy savings culture, and exploring mortgage opportunities. She also demystified the core principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks, emphasizing their growing importance in shaping a sustainable and responsible future for Nigeria and beyond.

Adding further depth to the conversation, our ED/COO, Dr. Simon Ogwu, delivered a compelling talk on the urgency of environmental sustainability. He highlighted the dangers of emissions, waste pollution, and climate-related hazards while advocating for tree planting, waste reduction, and the adoption of eco-conscious habits as practical steps toward lasting impact.

As part of the session, participants joined a clean-up outreach at Alade Market, reinforcing our shared commitment to cleaner communities and public health. To support these efforts, AG Mortgage Bank presented cleaning equipment to the corps members, empowering them to continue leading positive change in their communities.

The event also sparked interest among several corps members in opening accounts with AG Mortgage Bank, marking a growing trust in our mission and services.
